Rockchip RK3588 and Qualcomm SM8250 ( Snapdragon 865) are both with strong performance. They have the same market positioning and similar performance. Generally speaking, RK3588 and SM8250 (Snapdragon 865) are both ARM-based processors, and their main performance is basically the same.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 uses a combination of 2.4G A77 1.8GHz A55, while RK3588 uses a 2.4GHz A76 2.0GHz A55, the two CPU performance is basically the same.

In terms of product landing, RK3588 has outstanding cost-performance advantages. Not only compared with Qualcomm SM8250 (Snapdragon 865), among all 8K universal SoC currently on the market, RK3588 has the best cost-performance ratio. Of course, such a large gap is not entirely caused by the chip price difference. Qualcomm’s licensing costs are very high, and the research and development costs are high too. This part of the investment is spread into the product, pushing the cost up.
In the actual project application, if your product needs large-scale deployment and has customization requirements, then RK3588 has a very obvious price advantage.
Rockchip 3588 and Qualcomm Snapdragon are two different chip. Although we can compare parameters, we can not simply put them together to get a conclusion. Each chip has its own applicable scenarios and specialties. It’s better to choose the right chip according to your business scenario.
